The following comments have been received following Peter and the Wolf concerts:

“Thank-you again for a wonderful performance at Leith Hill Place on Saturday. It was absolutely delightful and you had our family audience completely spellbound. It was exactly as we hoped and was a great first attempt at an outdoor event for the house. We were so lucky that the weather was kind and although a little breezy everything went well.”

"Thank-you for a fantastic performance of Peter and the Wolf. The programme was just right in length an approach. The feedback from the audience was excellent and many people were particularly amazed that you let the children have a go with real instruments."
Lesley Bossine, Landmark Arts Centre Manager

"Lovely concert yesterday, many congratulations. You were all on top form."
Herbert Chappell, Composer of Paddington Bear's First Concert.

"Years 1,2 and 3 were treated to a music workshop led by the professional ensemble Chamberhouse Winds.....a first class performance of Sergei Prokofiev's story Peter and the Wolf, with each musician wearing a hat representing their different character. It was an inspiring performance and the children were obviously engrossed, with some of them miming along as the musicians played!"

"The children had great fun and learnt a lot without realising it. Masterful performances but with a great sense of fun (helped by the props). A great experience for all."

On Friday September 13th, The Chamberhouse Winds Group performed "Peter and the Wolf" to our children, from Year1 to Year 6. Children were enrapt as the the story
unfolded, and the instruments ported the animal characters. The standard of playing was extremely high, the narrator impressive, and the performers were expressive
with both their faces and their instruments.
The afternoon finished with trial sessions on all the instruments. This was an super workshop.

"Chamberhouse Winds performed Peter and the Wolf to our Year 3 and 4s as part of our School Music Day. The boys enjoyed the live performance and loved the humour the players added through their props! The piece came alive as it was narrated and played. After the performance, the boys loved having the opportunity to try out some of the instruments and I thought it was great the way the musicians interacted with the children

"We are thrilled that the event went smoothly and was successful and the feedback from the public and staff was marvellous" Jerry Gunn, General Manager, The Rose Theatre, Kingston

"Peter and the Wolf was an excellent concert; perfectly judged length of programme, super information about the instruments and very well presented to engage the children. They loved the hats and the characterisation. It made a big impression, especially for those who hadn't been to a professional standard concert before”
Catherine Beddison, Cranleigh Pre School

"Their Peter and the Wolf programme is a brilliant introduction to classical music - high quality music-making and very entertaining. My young grandson lapped up every minute.”
Rachel Porter, Professional Musician

"We were given a musical treat by Chamberhouse Winds who performed the classic story of "Peter and the Wolf". All the characters were brought to life through the different instruments and the musicians wore comical animal hats to emphasise their roles. After the performance, the children had an opportunity to play the horn, oboe, clarinet and flute, learning in a short period of time some simple and contrasting blowing techniques.
The children were fully engaged throughout the performance and the workshop, for some this afternoon may have given them their first step on the musical ladder"
